+URBAN CAMOUFLAGE PROJECT 04 ++GONG ZONE - Human+=Nature From my weak childhood in health, I came across the idea of nature itself, how it can be an amazing healer as it gives a lot of advantages to those who need mental or physical shelter. It is true to say that our body is consisted of elements from nature according to mathematical principles. I found the mathematical connections between human and their environment, both of nature and man-made, and it inspired me to bring about the idea of Urban Camouflage - co-existence of human and nature as particles of the universe.The idea of human being as another element of nature inspired me to combine nature landscapes with the elements of human's body for their environment -body and space. The title 'Gong Zone - 공존', implies the harmonious state of coexistence. Those 4 components of the project, 'serumblossom', 'brainflower', 'spineflower' and 'vasculature', present the scenery of nature which is made up of specific parts of human's body. In this way, they reflect the meaning of the title in the literal sense of the word. © 2008-2010 chae young kim
